ELDOA 1 – 6 CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The goal of the ELDOA education program is to educate the students at a higher level and improve the application of the exercise.  This is accomplished by focusing more time on building a better foundation of knowledge set by Guy VOYER, DO and respecting his educational paradigm for learning.  Because of this, students are able to increase their capacity to incorporate more advanced coaching methods to test, evaluate, and treat with better comprehension and understanding of educational principles to correct the body.

ELDOA 1

Credit Level: Student Practitioner Level 1 Length of Course: 2 days COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Classic ELDOA Exercises for the Spine ELDOA 1 is the base of education and coaching for all levels of the ELDOA program. Level 1 is designed for the student-practitioner with minimal or no formal training in anatomy and biomechanics of the spine. ELDOA 1 is a two-day course, giving the student-practitioner the foundation working principles of the ELDOA. The basis of education, “learn by doing”, is fundamental within the VOYER program. Students work in small groups to learn the ELDOA exercises and how to apply factors of progression for each posture. LECTURE TOPICS INCLUDE:
  • The General Anatomy & Biomechanics of the Spine
  • Back Pain: Medical Approach vs. the ELDOA
  • Introduction to Tensegrity Biomechanics
  • Guy VOYER’s Educational Paradigm – “Learn by Doing”
  • The Philosophy of the ELDOA “You Are Your Own Best Therapist.”
  • The History and development of the ELDOA
  • Philosophy of the complexity
  • Mobility vs. Stability

The first day is a review of ELDOA 1, expanding upon key concepts of descriptive anatomy and classic biomechanics of the spine. Introduction of NEW key topics including: the basis of spinal development and embryology, development of the fascia and global view of histology, and the movement of fluids in the body – imbibition and GAG systems. Further review of program design, periodization, contraindications and coaching progressions for the ELDOA exercises. LECTURE TOPICS INCLUDE:
  • Classical Spine Biomechanics, Descriptive Anatomy & Cinesiology
  • Back Pain: Introduction to Scoliosis & Spinal Pathologies
  • Description of the Intervertebral Disc and its Biomechanics
  • Functional Spine Unit of Junghans & the roll of the Intervertebral Disc
  • Introduction to the Dura Mater, Cerebra Spinal Fluid & Primary Respiratory Mechanics: General ELDOA
  • Physiology of Water at a cellular level: Intercellular vs. Extracellular
  • Techno-methodology and practice of ELDOA posture in practice from C2-C3 to L5-S1
  • Advanced Coaching Methodology: Awareness, MFS, Lemniscate, Factors of progression
The goal of ELDOA Level 2 is for the student to leave with an in-depth level of anatomical, mechanical and tensegrity principals of the ELDOA while getting plenty of practical experience with all levels of the spine.
