Considered by Guy VOYER, DO to be one of the most important components of his paradigm. The SOMA Training program is a three-year course of study offered to those who are interested in working with athletes at all levels, and those who are interested in using exercise and wellness techniques to improve the general health and function of their clients. This includes but is not limited to: sports trainers, fitness consultants and physical therapists. The SOMA Training curriculum integrates very precise and specific exercise techniques, ranging from analytical and segmental training to proprioception and myofascial stretching. The exercises learned are an integral and supportive part of VOYER’s therapeutic treatment paradigm, helping clients reach optimum health, and athletes reach maximum levels of performance.


Due to the highly popular SOMA Training Program with Guy VOYER DO the program has undergone a revamped format including virtual lecture and in-person training. The new format allows a student to complete the program and graduate as a SOMA Trainer in only 9 months (previously a 3-year program). This also allows anyone interested in specific courses to pick and choose the course that suits their needs and profession. Remember, none of the SOMA Training courses has a prerequisite (exam courses excluded). Each course gives you a certificate of completion. There is no virtual option only for the SOMA Training courses. The courses are taught in 2 parts; virtual anatomy lecture by Guy VOYER DO and in-person training with Bryce Turner and Brent Meier. The “Knee” Course

This is a multi-disciplinary course focusing on the knee joint. This intense course introduces many of the concepts developed by Guy VOYER DO and taught in the SOMA Training program. Students will learn descriptive anatomy, review tensegrity biomechanics, and blend specific exercises from Analytical & Segmental Strengthening of the Lower Limb, Myofascial Stretching, Proprioception and Awareness giving a variety of techniques to address the knee.
